Privacy policy

This policy explains what DingWorks.com ("we") collects, why, and the choices you have. Have your attorney review this page before launch; it is a starting template, not legal advice.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, an encrypted password and, if you give it, your ZIP code.
- Things you post: shop listings, reviews, quote requests and their photos, job posts and messages. Photos are re-saved by our server, which strips location and camera data.
- Searches and location: the ZIP, city or place you search. If you tap "use my location", your browser shares your approximate coordinates for that search only; we don't store them on your account.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept in server logs and used for security and spam prevention.
Who sees what
Quote requests, including photos, vehicle details and your city, are shown to listed PDR shops within the distance you chose. Your email address isn't shown to them; they reply through DingWorks. If you add a phone number, shops that receive the request can see it. Reviews show your first name and last initial.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com.
Links to Amazon carry our affiliate tag, and Amazon may set cookies when you click through. YouTube videos load only after you press play and use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Maps use OpenStreetMap-based tiles, which receive your IP address when map images load. We may use Google Analytics to understand traffic.
Your choices
You can edit your account and posts at any time, and ask us to delete your account by contacting us. California and other state residents may have additional rights to access, correct or delete personal information; we don't sell personal information for money. To exercise a right, contact us and we'll respond within the time your state's law requires.
Children
DingWorks is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
